The challenge
Each year, the creative minds behind 7th Sunday Festival—one of the Netherlands’ biggest dance events with over 50,000 visitors—set out to design a main stage that becomes the heart of the experience.
The challenge: to turn flat stage materials into a living, immersive visual centerpiece that feels larger than life, while meeting tight event deadlines.
Approach
3DLEGENDS® has been the trusted creative partner of Par-T and GaafCreaties for years, crafting each season’s main stage design and 3D artwork. This year, the process evolved even further: AI-assisted sketching was introduced, allowing the client to explore early creative directions in real time. Once a direction was chosen, we translated the vision into detailed 3D concepts, giving the client immediate previews of lighting, depth, and atmosphere.
Every stage element—though constructed from flat MDF panels—was designed to appear sculptural and dimensional through our 3D visualization. This technique brings depth, realism, and emotion to the final design, helping audiences feel like they’re stepping into another world. By rendering everything within a fully 3D environment, we accelerated production, ensured precision, and gave the client complete control over every visual choice.
