Innovation deserves more than just packaging — it deserves to be understood. For ELHO, a leading brand in sustainable plant design, we were asked to translate the technology behind their Greensense smart pot into a story customers could instantly grasp — right at the point of sale.
The result: a futuristic 3D holofan experience that blends education, emotion, and sustainability into one captivating display.
The challenge
ELHO’s Greensense system is a smart watering solution — elegant, efficient, and sustainable. But its internal workings are invisible to the consumer’s eye. Traditional signage or text-heavy explanations couldn’t convey how the pot collects and distributes water through internal channels, or how the indicator system shows when a plant needs care.
The challenge was to make invisible innovation visible — in a simple, intuitive, and visually engaging way that worked within the retail environment.
The Approach
At 3DLEGENDS®, we transformed a complex mechanism into a clear visual narrative. We designed and animated a holofan sequence — a hovering 3D projection above the product shelf — that shows how water flows through the pot’s channels into its reservoir, and how the moisture indicator communicates when it’s time to water your plants.
The style balanced technical precision with organic storytelling — a clean, futuristic aesthetic that echoed ELHO’s sustainable brand DNA. By using a mix of 3D simulation, motion design, and product visualization, we created a retail presentation that informs as much as it inspires. The animation was lightweight, loopable, and easily adaptable for other smart product lines, ensuring scalability across ELHO’s retail ecosystem.
The Result
Customers instantly understood how the Greensense system worked — no manual or explanation required. The holofan integration drew attention in busy retail environments and increased engagement and dwell time at the shelf. The presentation transformed a technical product feature into an experience, combining education, technology, and brand emotion in one compact display. Every frame reflected ELHO’s philosophy: making sustainability simple and beautiful.
