Every great festival needs a centerpiece that tells its story before the first note plays. For Tinderbox Festival in Denmark, we developed the main stage design into a production-ready masterpiece — turning a creative concept into a tangible, layered work of visual architecture. What began as a static design evolved into a living, breathing spectacle that captured the festival’s rhythm, theme, and spirit.
The challenge
The base concept for the Tinderbox mainstage provided the foundation — but to truly command attention in a festival of this scale, it needed more than form. It needed depth, character, and energy that would translate both on-site and across digital platforms.
Our task was to take an existing idea and elevate it to a fully print-ready, 3D-detailed composition, ensuring it worked flawlessly in large-scale production without losing its artistic integrity.
The Process
Working from the original design framework, we reimagined the stage in full 3D — enhancing texture, lighting, and layering to bring dimension and realism to every element / surface. From sculpted forms and architectural highlights to intricate visual accents, we introduced subtle depth cues that ensured the design would feel immersive even at massive scale. Each material and color was fine-tuned for physical print accuracy, guaranteeing consistency from screen to stage.
Collaborating closely with the production team, we aligned artistic vision and technical feasibility, ensuring every layer could be fabricated and assembled seamlessly on-site. The end result was a visual centerpiece that balanced spectacle with structure, and creativity with precision. We collaborated with GaafCreaties and Live Legends.
The Result
The new Tinderbox mainstage design stood out as a true festival landmark — a blend of art and engineering that transformed into a glowing focal point for thousands of visitors. Its refined textures and cohesive lighting design made the stage feel alive, pulsating in sync with the music and crowd energy.
The result: a visually unforgettable experience that solidified the festival’s creative identity and elevated its brand presence across Europe.
